Can a reality television series change lives? A headstart teacher assistant and deli clerk in Columbus, Ohio  prove it. In Opportunity Knock$ Season Two they moved from the brink of eviction and homelessness to a future with savings for children's education to end generational poverty.

You are cordially invited to an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the groundbreaking success of The Opportunity Initiative, the largest coordinated economic mobility campaign in U.S. history, and the premiere of Opportunity Knock$ on WOSU and nationally.  This red carpet event will showcase the life-changing impact of this acclaimed television series and its profound effect on the lives of Columbus residents which are inspiring the nation.

Locall nonprofit Columbus Works, and not-for-profit Telhio Credit Union, a Community Development Financial Institution, and CollegeAdvantage Ohio's 529 college savings program are featured in the national television series.

As an attendee, you'll experience the excitement of a red carpet event and gain a deeper understanding of the sincere focus on community impact that Opportunity Knock$ is measuring as part of The Opportunity Initiative. This Telly and Anthem Awards-winning show is behaviorally designed to reduce the shame of financial challenges, overcome the distrust of institutions, and increase opportunities for the 40%+ of Americans living on survival budgets.

The Opportunity Initiative's transformative technology, the recipient of a Gold DotCom Award, is revolutionizing access to financial wellness and social services. The Opportunity Finder, featured in the series, used by viewers, and free to nonprofits, connects users to vital resources such as utility assistance, childcare, eviction prevention, business start-up services, and equitable access to capital through CDFIs. In Season One alone, The Opportunity Finder connected 70,000 people to these critical services.

In 2024, The Opportunity Initiative received a $500,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to develop The Opportunity Coach, a groundbreaking tool capable of providing financial health assessments for all viewers and measuring longitudinal financial health outcomes.
