We are excited to share that Opportunity Knocks has won four big awards. This amazing achievement is a testament to the show’s excellence in media and how it changes the lives of viewers like you. Here’s a breakdown of what we won and why it matters:

Platinum Viddy Award for Education

The Viddy Awards is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected awards programs in the video industry. The show teaches viewers how to make and keep more of their own money based on their own unique situation by using a tool called The Opportunity Coach which is available to everyone.

Gold Viddy Awards for Nonprofit and Social Responsibility

Opportunity Knocks also snagged Gold Viddy Awards for Nonprofit and Social Responsibility for showing how you can use The Opportunity Finder to look up nonprofits in your community including legal assistance, business start-up help, eviction prevention, affordable childcare and resume help. It even connects viewers to credit unions to eliminate high interest credit card debt, reduce the payment on their auto loan and eliminate payday loans.

Silver Anthem Award for Global Social Impact in Film, Video, Television or Show

The Anthem Awards celebrate organizations that inspire and impact people worldwide. Opportunity Knocks won a Silver Anthem Award for our global social impact. This means the show is not just changing lives locally but also making a difference around the globe! 

Distributed to public television stations nationally and through PBS Passport by American Public Television and presenting station WXXI, Opportunity Knocks continues to reach audiences across the country.
